Nick King
Hey all, my name is Nick King and I am 31 years old. I was born in Palm Springs, CA. I was raised by a single mother my whole life and sports is my life. Since I was 7 years old, I was playing travel sports (football, basketball, baseball). In high school, I played all three and I could've went to play in college in all three. I chose to play baseball at Riverside Community College coached by the legendary Dennis Rogers. I then played baseball at the University Of Georgia for the next two years and then signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Played with them for two seasons and had a spring training with the Atlanta Braves. I then came back home to Palm Springs, CA and got my teaching credential as I currently teach middle school PE at Raymond Cree Middle School. I just finished my 3rd year. I also coach basketball at Raymond Cree as well as at Palm Springs High School and I also coach football at Palm Springs High School where I am the head JV Coach. I also have my own travel basketball organization called the Palm Springs Heat. I am very busy and between coaching and teaching middle school, I have endless stories, and topics that I want to discuss and share with the world daily
Sports is such an amazing thing that can change people's lives for the better. Coaches and Teachers play such an enormous role in kids' lives, and I hope every Coach and Teacher can create a positive lasting effect on their athletes' lives.
Any and all coaches welcome. Sports can truly be special in changing kids lives. I hope to give readers some insight on my life in becoming a great coach that changes kids lives for the better.
I hope you all enjoy a little introduction of myself, and I hope we can connect soon. I am excited to start this journey and share all of my crazy but amazing stories.
