DEAR ASK A PUNK - I live with my girlfriend. We get along great, but now she wants to be in my band. She can play guitar fine, better than a lot of guys I know, but not better than me. I guess I just don't get why she wants to. We usually don't agree on stuff musically anyway and I don't think we would be good collaborators. And also if we were in a band together on top of living together I think that would be too much together stuff. DEAR ASK A PUNK - I'm angry. I'm angry at my parents for having fucked up lives. They took care of my sisters, brothers and me ok – from the outside it looked ok anyway, but people in our town wouldn't believe how screwed up we actually are. And this isn't teenager stuff. I'm in my late 20s now and I'm still discovering new ways that my childhood is having an impact on my adult life. The way I deal with people and the way I deal with bosses and boyfriends and even the people in line at food store. When I was younger I could channel all this anger into punkrock – and being the badass chick in the moshpit, even though I'm pretty small and as everyone knows that kind of relief, is helpful but short-lived and doesn't really solve anything...
